Information for companies

As a company from Dortmund and the surrounding area, female.2.enterprises on tour gives you the opportunity to present yourself as an attractive employer and make contact with female specialists at an early stage.

The format

With female.2.enterprises on tour, a group of female students and academics from TU Dortmund University visit a company in the region. The company presents its products and services, describes its organizational structure and explains typical career paths. It offers insights into its corporate culture and presents itself to the participants as an attractive employer for a later job search. The aim is for the women to get to know the company better than through a job advertisement or a website.

The target groups

The participants of female.2.enterprises on tour come from different departments and are at different stages of their studies. Companies can therefore also explain different entry opportunities. For example, does the company offer internships? Are there student positions that can be used to attract qualified women to the company at an early stage of their studies? Are the company looking for female students to write their theses in cooperation with the company or female academics to tailor their dissertation topic to the company's research needs?

Coordination of a tour

The tours are administratively managed by female.2.enterprises. The project coordinator supports the companies in planning their offer. She

... arranges a date for the tour.

... provides input for the design of the program.

... advertises the offer with a focus on the departments of interest to the company.

... manages the registration and communicates with the participants.

... evaluates the event and gives feedback to the companies.

Tasks of the host company

The program design of a tour is in the hands of the host company. There are many possible ways to present the company: Plant tours, discussion rounds with female employees or presentations on selected areas of work and career paths are just a few examples. It should be borne in mind that a tour is not a matching event where job interviews are held.

Female students and academics particularly appreciate the tours in which additional qualification modules are offered, e.g. a workshop, a training course or a lecture on career-relevant topics such as application procedures, career entry or promotion skills.

Here you will find event descriptions of past tours that illustrate the process of a company visit.

Furthermore

Companies can use the information channels of female.2.enterprises. The project coordinator is happy to forward job advertisements and event announcements from companies via the f.2.e mailing list forwarded.
