The magazine reports on social protest and "politics from below", on the body, sex and self-determination, analyzes developments in the new world of work, takes a close look at scientific discourse and portrays "upcoming female artists" from art and pop.
The blog interdisziplinäre geschlechterforschung is a science blog of the Netzwerk Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung NRW (Network Women's and Gender Studies NRW). Members of the Network and interested gender researchers present research findings here and contribute to current issues and debates.
The "Kompetenzzentrum Frauen in Wissenschaft und Forschung" (CEWS) (Competence Center Women in Science and Research) publishes a journal (formerly newsletter) five times a year, which covers all relevant topics relating to research and science with a special focus on gender equality. Since its first publication in 2001, the journal has developed into a recognized information medium.
Die Philosophin (The Philosopher) is a journal for philosophers and those interested in philosophical approaches both inside and outside the university. Philosophin aims to contribute to the promotion of interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of research on the genealogy and function of gender difference. Each issue is dedicated to a specific topic.

Die Standard is a feminist news magazine on the topics of gender politics, the world of work and culture.
The Digitale Deutsche Frauenarchiv (DDF) (digital german women's archive) is the specialized portal for the history of the German-speaking women's and lesbian movements. It provides access to selected sources on the history of women's movements in digitalized form for the general public on the Internet.
The "duz - Deutsche Universitätszeitung" ( Independent German University Newspaper) has been established for decades and enjoys a high reputation as a "special interest" magazine among stakeholders inside and outside the academic world. In addition to various print magazines, duz also publishes online and operates a career platform with job offers in the academic world.
duz only publishes some of its texts in gender-neutral language.
Founded in 2014, the online magazine describes itself as a "business lifestyle platform" for women and friends. In the online magazine, strong opinions and debates, personal stories, background information and expert contributions are given a female perspective. Edition F also offers networking opportunities, professional development options and products. In 2017, Edition F also launched a digital coaching program called FEMALE FUTURE FORCE.
EMMA is probably the best-known feminist magazine in Germany. Founded in 1977 by journalist Alice Schwarzer, it is still published by her every two months. The "political magazine for people" is dedicated to a wide range of topics, with the focus still being on the areas of gender equality policy, the construction of femininity in the media and the distribution of roles in private life. EMMA is also the initiator of various campaigns and projects, for example against pornography and prostitution. All issues of the magazine since 1977 can be read in the digital EMMA reading room, and EMMA also makes selected texts from the current issue available on its homepage.
"Feminismus im Pott" ("Pott" is slang for the Ruhr-Area) is the association of a group of net activists from the Ruhr area who blog about the "feminisms of the region". An emancipatory place for current discussions, networking and pop culture.
feministische studien (feminist studies) focuses primarily on the inter- and transdisciplinary examination of topics relevant to women's studies in the context of social change. The journal is published twice a year and has been supplemented by a blog since 2014.
The specialist journal "Frauenfragen" (Women's issues) is published once a year. It is published by the "Eidgenössischen Kommission für Frauenfragen" (EKF) (Federal Commission for Women's Issues) in Switzerland and contains texts in German, French and Italian. Each annual issue is dedicated to a current women's political topic and combines academic essays, interviews with experts and portraits of people who dedicate their lives and work to the overarching topic of feminism.
"FrauenRat - Informationen für die Frau" (Information for women) was published six times a year by the German Women's Council until the end of 2015, and many articles from past issues are available in the archive. Each issue takes up a different current women's policy topic. "FrauenRat" bundles the texts of various experts and thus offers a multidimensional insight into the respective subject.
The Coordination and Research Office of the NRW Women's and Gender Studies Network produces the Gender Report every three years. It also serves as the basis for the reporting requirements within the framework of the NRW Gender Equality Act (§ 22). The report comprises three current partial studies on gender (in)equality at universities in NRW.
The journal GENDER offers women's and gender studies an interdisciplinary forum for academic debate and analysis. In keeping with the multidisciplinary nature of the journal, topics include sociology, education, political science, economics, cultural studies and history.
The brochure, published jointly by the Gunda Werner Institute at the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, contrasts twelve common anti-feminist positions with corrections and provides background information.

Missy Magazine is published quarterly and combines reporting on pop culture, politics and style with a feminist stance. The focus is on portraits of outstanding female artists and activists, reports on women's political issues, lifestyle tips and fashion highlights for every woman.
querelles-net has been published by Freie Universität Berlin since 2000. It appears several times a year as a supplement to "Querelles. Jahrbuch für Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung" (Yearbook for Women's and Gender Studies). querelles-net provides access to the large number of specialist, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary publications in the field of women's and gender studies. Scientific reviews are intended to provide an overview of important new publications and current research focuses. In addition, the visibility and reputation of the research field as well as the networking of researchers should be improved.
Since 1986, the "Zweiwochendienst Frauen" (zwd) has been published by the zwd media group and the Gesellschaft Chancengleichheit e.V.. Although the service is now only published once a month as a print edition, it has been supplemented by a comprehensive online portal. The focus of zwd reporting is on developments relevant to women's policy in the Bundestag and Bundesrat, but European issues and international equality policy are also covered.
In cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Office, the University Library has put together an information page focusing on gender studies. It offers assistance for research in the field of gender studies as well as information on the topic of gender equality at TU Dortmund University. Users can search for essays, biographies, journal articles and more in over 60 subject-relevant databases.
Podcasts (in German)
BIPoC and queer perspectives still find little space in public discourse. "BBQ" is the podcast that is changing that. Every month, hosts Zuher Jazmati and Dominik Djialeu pick a topic that concerns them or is currently moving the world. Whether it's the queer movement in the East, BIPoCs in politics or the glamorous world of ballroom culture - the guests are always those affected, active people and people from the scene to share their expertise. What makes BBQ so unique? The non-white and queer perspective on topics with social relevance.
"Darf sie das" means as much as "Is she allowed to do that?". Nicole Schöndorfer is a freelance journalist and lecturer based in Vienna. Since 2019, her feminist content has also been available in audio format. She comments on a topic every week.
The "lila Podcast" by Katrin Rönicke, Susanne Klinger and Barbara Streidl is the classic feminist podcast in Germany. Since June 2013, each episode has provided in-depth content and exciting conversations. The presenters discuss current political issues and provide background information, such as what gender is actually about, how women work and what we could do for more equality in Germany and around the world.
Vera Strauchs has both a podcast and a blog. The Female Leadership Podcast is about authentic leadership and how new ways of working can be put into practice.
"Feminismus mit Vorsatzt" can be translated as "Feminism with intent". Laura Vorsatz wants to familiarize herself and listeners with feminist thought and action step by step. The podcast is intended to be an introduction to feminism; a kind of journey.
In their podcast "Feuer & Brot" (Fire & Bread), Alice and Maxi discuss socially relevant, pop-cultural and personal topics such as rap, feminism, cultural appropriation, masculinity or even the taboo subject of female desire or menstruation.
"Justitias Töchter." Is a podcast on feminist legal policy and a production of the German Women Lawyers' Association (djb). Selma Gather and Dana Valentiner talk about feminist issues in the law and with women about the law. The focus is on legal policy demands and current developments in case law and legislation on gender equality. They classify, explain and analyze: A podcast for all those interested in feminism and legal policy - explicitly also for non-lawyers.
Gizem Adiyaman and Lúcia Luciano are known as the hip-hop DJ duo Hoe_mies. In their podcast "Realitäter*innen", they have enlightening conversations with their guests about topics such as masculinity, body positivity and self-determined sexuality. They focus on realities and identities outside the mainstream.
