Get involved - get involved in local politics!

Germany still lacks women in politics in 2021. Their share in parliaments is even declining in some cases, particularly at municipal level.

The "Get involved - do politics locally!" program aims to give female students interested in politics an understanding of local political structures, show them how they can shape their lives and motivate and encourage them to get involved in politics.

Over two seminar weekends in Berlin, participants are offered a varied program of workshops, lectures, training, exchange and networking. A digital accompanying seminar and various events in Dortmund, Bochum and Essen round off the program.

"Get involved - do politics locally!" is an offer of the Equal Opportunities Office of TU Dortmund University in cooperation with the University of Duisburg-Essen, Ruhr University Bochum, Leipzig University, European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the European Academy for Women in Politics and Business (EAF) Berlin as well as the Equal Opportunities Officers of the municipalities mentioned.

Further information can be found in the program flyer.
