Die Teilnehmerinnen des Empowerment-Programms "She for Democracy" tauschten sich im Workshop über Hürden aus, die sie auf dem Weg in die Politik wahrnehmen.
On the third day of the "She for Democracy" event, the participants met again at the Dietrich-Keuning-Haus. The day was filled with various workshops aimed at further developing personal skills in a political context.

The day began with the workshop "Recognizing your own hurdles", in which the participants discussed their previous obstacles to entering politics. Topics such as the time required, the lack of knowledge about political processes, political involvement without party affiliation, the rhetorical challenges in political debates, the lack of quick-wittedness and the effects of male dominance and a lack of diversity in politics were discussed in depth.

This was followed by a practical input on the topic of gender equality work in Dortmund. Questions were discussed about the challenges facing gender equality work in the city of Dortmund, which stereotypes and prejudices about men and women still have an impact today and how the gender bias affects the filling of positions of power. In addition, the participants discussed what a discrimination-sensitive approach to work could look like.

In the workshop "Voice, body language and rhetoric", led by Annette Huckebrink, many exercises were carried out with the voice and body to improve the appearance of the participants in political communication and to strengthen their self-confidence for debates.

The third day of the "She for Democracy" event was characterized by intensive discussions and practice-oriented exercises. The participants were able to gain important insights into their personal hurdles and further develop their knowledge and skills in the areas of gender equality work, communication and rhetoric.
