Successful last workshop day for the MinTU mentees between microorganisms and light frequencies
- MinTU

This year's last workshop day of the MinTU project was once again really exciting: the mentees immersed themselves in the world of microorganisms in the practical laboratory of the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering. Under microscopes, the girls observed the tiny creatures bustling around on a jointly prepared agar plate. There was also a small souvenir for the participants: They were given small agar plates on which they could leave their own fingerprints to observe what was growing on them at home.
Baking cocoa, which hardly dissolves in milk on its own due to its very fine structure, is moistened and bound into small clumps so that the finished drinking cocoa is creamy rather than lumpy. The girls explored this principle themselves in experiments.
The mentoring project will enter a new round in 2026. Registration for the next round is still possible until 31.12.2025.
If you would like to find out more about the MinTU project, you can attend the information event on 27.11.2025. Registration is requested by 17.11.2025.
