After a two-year coronavirus break, female.2.enterprises finally went on tour again on May 5, 2022! A group of female students visited EDG Dortmunder Entsorgung GmbH. Employees from various EDG departments presented the company and their fields of work.

The day began with a welcome from Managing Director Bastian Prange and an introduction of the participants based on the following three questions: Who am I? What am I studying? And where do I see myself in five years? Some of the participants mentioned the topic of work-life balance, which EDG also addressed in the subsequent company presentation. Sarah Kremer, project assistant in the Facilities, Fleet/Workshop & Construction Operations department, gave a brief input on her professional career and the various career paths that EDG offers its employees. Franziska Lichterfeld from Recruiting presented various areas of work at EDG and gave the participants first-hand tips on the application process.

The highlight of the morning was the subsequent visit to the Academy for Theater and Digitality, which is currently under construction in the nearby port area. EDG is the client for this prestigious project and the participants were given an exclusive tour of the construction site with EDG department head Erdogan Coskun and architect Sebastian Franssen. Afterwards, EDG invited all participants to a get-together. Over snacks and drinks, the students once again had the opportunity to talk to EDG employees and ask their questions about the company.
