Family*Pictures" photo competition

For the universities of the University Alliance Ruhr, family encompasses all forms of long-term responsibility for one another. Now all members of the three Ruhr universities are invited to underpin this broad concept of family with images: What does family and family life mean to you?

If you work or study at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University or the University of Duisburg-Essen, take part! Take photos of real-life family situations and submit pictures that you think represent family, show insights into family life or convey a feeling of family.

Who is family and what does family life feel like? Times change, people, lifestyles and workplaces change. And yet our ideas of family are often shaped by old images. It's high time to compare and expand our stock of images.

What you can win

Places 1 to 5:
A voucher worth over €150 each for a family photo shoot at PicturePeople (photo studios in Bochum, Dortmund, Essen or Duisburg)

Places 6 and 7:
Two RUHR.TOPCARDs each for the year 2020

A jury will evaluate the submitted photographs. The award-winning photos will be shown in an exhibition at all three universities and on the Family*Pictures photo competition website in summer 2020.
